Introducing the Yarning for Winter Box, the enchanting yarn advent calendar by Säie Wool. Unveil the magic of the season with a total of four delightful packages to be opened during the advent weeks, plus an extra surprise package for Christmas Eve or to unwrap on the darkest day of the year. Each calendar skein is crafted from the soft and versatile Säie Merino Sock yarn, setting the perfect foundation for your winter crafting.

Pick your favorite from our three Box options: Tonal (all skeins are in tonal shades), Variegated (all skeins are in variegated colors), or Tonal/Varigated (with two tonal and two varigated skeins).

Embrace the warmth of the season and secure your own cozy moments. Box will be sent during November.

We're celebrating the coziest time of the year with the Yarning for Winter Box, where the theme for this year is Hygge. Inside the box, you'll find four 100g skeins of Säie Merino Sock yarn, waiting to be unwrapped during December, in new Hygge-inspired shades. And that's not all – there's a surprise package too, ready to be opened either on the darkest day of the year (December 21st) or on Christmas. While the surprise package lives up to its name, we'll give you a sneak peek: it includes some DK-weight yarn among other treasures.

The Yarning for Winter Box: Hygge will be available from September 1, 2023. The box will be up for grabs for a week or until our dyeing capacity is reached.

Hygge, a Danish concept, embodies those moments when you sip warm drinks in a snug corner, enjoy time with friends bathed in candlelight, or simply relish a tranquil moment without rush. Hygge encompasses all things pleasant and peaceful, that makes you feel good and create a homely atmosphere.

Säie Merino Sock is a fingering-weight, reinforced yarn, which is versatile and perfect for knitting socks, sweaters and even scarves. It offers a generous yardage of 425m / 100g and is composed of 75% superwash merino wool and 25% nylon. We recommend treating this yarn with a gentle hand wash.
